About the Event
Financial stewardship is core to a Board's fiduciary responsibility. In partnership with senior staff leadership, Board members charter Finance and Investment Committees, set investment policy, and make ongoing budget decisions. For justice-centered organizations, financial return at any cost is off the table. Instead, these leaders look for ways to make a return for the organization without contradicting organizational vision, mission, and values.
Join NPQ for a real-world discussion among experienced Board leaders and investment professionals that addresses:
- Investment committee scope and authority
- Setting values-based investment policies
- Cash and investment options for justice-centered leaders and committees
- How to monitor and evaluate investment performance
This session will be led by Jeanne Bell, NPQ's Leading Edge Program Host, in conversation with Gary Schneider, V.P Wealth Manager at Amalgamated Investment Services, and Sydney Thomas, Founder and General Partner of Symphonic Capital.
What to Expect
- 2:00–2:45 pm: Panel discussion
- 2:45–3:00 pm: Q & A
