Remaking the Economy: The Exciting Second Season!
REMAKING THE ECONOMY IN NEW MEXICO
Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm EST
We are headed into a brand-new era in so many ways as NPQ resumes its webinar series on how to build community wealth. This season we highlight on the ground examples of communities that have adopted principles and structures that encourage shared wealth development, linking that to vibrant, prosperous, and healthy communities
The first in this season webinar focuses on New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, where we highlight efforts in low-income communities and communities of color to develop new economic structures in the arts, the food industry, and beyond. With a panel of community entrepreneurs, we will look at a Zuni Pueblo art co-op start-up, an Albuquerque nonprofit that supports community-based food businesses, and an emerging statewide co-op development network. All of the panelists will share their lessons and provide rich insights into the work both in their presentations and in a question session.
Webinar Participants:
Alvin Warren, Kellogg Foundation
Anzia Bennett, Three Sisters Kitchen
Sandra McCardell, Cooperative Catalyst of New Mexico
Keith Edaakie, ARTZ Cooperative
