Some argue that leadership is most effectively learned on the job, and this makes our mentors and colleagues critical sources of guidance. Here, the authors provide a format for self-coaching that can add enormously to leaders' ability to learn from every situation.

Our hope is to create an avenue for the nonprofit leader to begin to address challenges on his or her own in his or her workplace. There are "low-hanging" development opportunities one can find within oneself, within the workplace and ones friends and colleagues
